Literacy Unbound Summer Institute at Teachers College

LITERACY UNBOUND SUMMER INSTITUTE at Teachers College, Columbia University

Following five exciting summer institutes (many featuring Lab students!), the Center for the Professional Education of Teachers (CPET) at Teachers College, Columbia University will again host a free(grant-funded) two week summer program (July 29th-August 9th; 10am-4pm) called LITERACY UNBOUND.  This year, the program will bring together 12 high school students and 12 teachers from around the city to create an original multimodal performance piece exploring Zora Neale Hurston’s THEIR EYES WERE WATCHING GOD.  Perfect for this program would be any student interested in history, performing, writing, and/or the arts in general.  The deadline to apply is Friday, April 26, 2019 at midnight. Visit the website at: http://cpet.tc.columbia.edu/literacy-unbound.html and feel free to contact program director Adele Bruni Ashley, azb2104@tc.columbia.edu, with any questions.
